Blossom End Rot…prevent…and protect your tomatoes!
Do the bottoms of your tomatoes have a mysterious brown or black spot that seems to be rotting your tomatoes before they have a chance to ripen? What you’re seeing is called blossom end rot and is caused from a lack of calcium and poor water management. The spot will begin by looking like a water logged spot then will eventually appear black and sunken. Blossom end rot is not a disease, but rather a physiological disorder. The same disorder can be seen in pepper plants, eggplant, watermelon and squash. Read More »

Using Earth Juice Bloom and Earth Juice Catalyst for superior production
Now your plants are growing vigorously! They’re green and large and it looks like they should start producing blooms, because only after it blooms will you start to see produce growing on the plant. To encourage blooming and to give your plants the phosphorous they need to start blooming, we use Earth Juice Bloom. Again, the ratio used is 1 Tbsp. per 1 gallon of water. The additional phosphorous will encourage budding, flowering and fruiting. Side note: when applying this to your other garden plants (non-food), use 2 Tbsp. per 1 gallon of water. Read More »

How Our Herbs are Produced
My herb blends start in the greenhouse where our plants are nurtured by Dan, our employees and I. When the seedlings are large enough we transplant them to their new home in the herb or vegetable gardens. With a little water and Mother Nature’s help we watch them grow and when they are at their optimum flavor we hand harvest, transport to our commercial kitchen, wash and dehydrate with care.
