NoLo Bait Grasshopper Control
Safe and Effective…Available now at the greenhouse! NoLo Bait grasshopper control is a flaky wheat bran coated with a sticking solution and nosema locustae spores. These disease spores are non-toxic to humans, livestock, wild animals, birds, fish and everything else not closely related to the grasshopper. When the grasshoppers eat the NoLo bait they will become infected with the disease. Depending on what stage of life the grasshopper is in when infected, NoLo bait will weaken, reduce their ability to reproduce, or even kill the grasshoppers that eat it. You will observe more obvious results the year following the application because in most cases the ability to reproduce is most greatly affected. Spreading bait frequently throughout the season will be more advantageous than a single minimum application. Brochures are available at the greenhouse. Call or visit us if you have any questions about NoLo Bait grasshopper control.

Veggie Boxes
Here’s what our veggie box customers are saying…
“My husband and I love getting a veggie box from Ricky and Lucy’s every other week! We are enjoying so many of our tried and true favorites plus venturing out and learning to prepare the veggies we’ve never tried before. Swiss Chard has become our new favorite! We are very grateful to have such a wonderful place that is dedicated to growing healthy, organic veggies for us to enjoy.” –Katherine D.
“We just started getting the veggie box and love it! I am a huge fan of organic products and locally grown products and being new to Sidney, was glad to make this find. The quality and taste is great. I am having fun experimenting with items that I’ve not used before, like French Sorrel. I made an onion and French sorrel tart and used the lemon verbena too! It was great and lighter than a quiche. I also made a scratch crust from local organically grown flour. I look forward each week to what will be in the box! Ricky and Lucy’s veggie box is the same high quality as are their plants and flowers.” –Rae C.
“Every time I pick up my veggie box it is like finding a treasure chest! The box is always full of fresh veggies, greens, herbs and berries! The very best is the fresh broccoli but I delight in the variety of produce and veggies that I would never have experimented with! I even made fresh horseradish sauce this year – which is a favorite now!” — Connie H.

Brand New Greek Seasoning!
I was recently asked to create a Greek seasoning for a dear friend of mine. She has already used it on chicken and fish and LOVES it! Mission accomplished!
I tried it on chicken this week, so if you’re looking for a new recipe for chicken, you’ll have to give Grilled Greek Chicken a try!
If you enjoy using Greek Seasoning on your grilled meats, in a salad dressing recipe or in an orzo pasta salad, I’m sure you’ll be completely satisfied with this new blend we’ve just added to the Ricky and Lucy’s family!
And remember, when you buy herbs and spices from us, you’re getting locally grown, fresh, and organic herbs…not herbs that have traveled miles and miles and have been stored in warehouses for months on end.
At Ricky and Lucy’s you can SEE the plants that produced the herbs in your bottles. It does make a difference.
Our New Schedule
We’ve made the decision to close the greenhouse during October thru March with the exception of Thanksgiving thru Christmas.
