(Nereocystis luetkeana) Kelp has been known to regulate thyroid function and help with weight loss. It has also been associated with lower cancer rates. One of the main uses is to remineralize the body. Kelp is one of the seaweeds used in my seaweed bath bags for detoxification. Kelp granules are also good to use in the garden for adding nutrients and minerals. Apply externally for skin diseases, burns and insect bites. Used internally to treat cancer, bronchial problems, digestive and urinary problems. Some types contain anti-tumor compounds. Use in baths or sprinkle on foods.
